The Government of Gujarat is organizing the 4th Global Investors' Summit on 12-13 January 2009. Aimed at bringing together business leaders, investors, corporations, thought leaders, policy and opinion makers; the summit serves as a perfect platform to understand and explore business opportunities in the State of Gujarat.

A biennial event, Vibrant Gujarat: Global Investors' Summit has had resounding successes in the past attracting several companies from Asia and Europe to establish their presence in Gujarat. The 2003 Global Investors' Summit was held coinciding with the glorious Navratri Festival where a total of 76 MOUs worth USD 14 billion were signed. The 2005 Summit saw signing of 226 MOUs garnering an investment of USD 20 billion. The year 2007 Summit, attended by industry majors like Tata, Birla, Reliance, Shell, General Motors, ICICI to name a few resulted in signing of 675 MOUs worth USD 152 billion.

In the year 2009, the initiative that began six years ago, will be intensified and the state shall propel in to the next stage of the development process. focused and intensive growth in the socio-economic index.

After the success of 1st Sandwich Week...
Let's take the 2nd Sandwich Week to a new height...

We all are busy in our daily routine life. This is but obvious, due to increasing competition in the world we all need to work hard for our self and as well as for our family.

But I am sure in the fast growing and busy world we can take out 10 minutes every day for next one week to celebrate — Sandwich Week.

Sandwich Week, is basically meant to take out 10 minutes every day from our life and find out a new needy kid every day for a week whom we can feed a sandwich.

You can celebrate this week from any part of this world.

17 July, 2008 is the DAY 1 of first ever 'Sandwich Week — A sandwich to needy kids for a week'. We tends to celebrate this week every month from 17-24 of respective month.

One can write about his/her experiences and can also post pictures on the group link.

So others can also know about the things going around them. So let's come together and celebrate Sandwich Week — A sandwich to needy kids for a week'.

10.08.08 Light a candle: For victims of Ahmedabad blasts

26 July 2008, 17 blasts in Ahmedabad took lives of several people and hundreds got injured. There were ever several people who went to donate blood and do volunteer work on hospitals as became the victim of blasts.

Let’s come forward for giving tribute and pray for all the victims and their families who are afftected from the blasts.

Date and Time: 10 August 2008, Sunday, between 5pm-6pm

Venue: Sabarmati Gandhi Ashram, સાબરમતી આશ્રમ Ashram Road, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India

A donation box will be there at the venue and one can donate as much as they want. The funds, which will be collected in the donation box, will be hand over to the state government for the families of victims of the bomb blasts.

You can also light a candle at your place if you are not able to make it to venue.

*Please bring your candles and matchbox along with you if you are coming to venue.
